Carbon film resistor is a kind of film resistor. It is made by high temperature vacuum coating technology to attach carbon tightly to the surface of porcelain rod to form carbon film, then cut with appropriate joints, and apply epoxy resin on the surface for sealing and protection. Its surface is often coated with green protective paint. The thickness of carbon film determines the size of resistance, and the resistor is usually controlled by controlling the thickness of film and cutting grooves. Carbon film resistor is also called "thermally decomposed carbon film resistor". It is a kind of thin film resistor in which carbon is deposited on the substrate by high temperature thermal decomposition of hydrocarbon in vacuum. It is low in price, stable in performance, and has a wide range of resistance and power.
